Appreciation with a Loaf of Bread Project

Jisun unnie!!
There is so much to say… but you were the first Korean person I really connected with as I entered adulthood. From the first day we met, you always looked out for me, making sure my needs were met and I was doing okay. You are such a nurturing soul, and every time I think of you, I think of your wide eyes after asking a question, and then your laugh. Your laugh is amazing, and it’s something I love hearing and remembering. It’s heart-warming and nurturing, just like you. You have such a beautiful soul, and you find so many ways to share it with others. You making 미역국, teaching me how to make 만두, making hot tea during the winter… supporting me and listening to me, teaching us how to play Korean games… everything about you is so loving and comforting.
I love that you’re always asking questions, and willing to listen to others, and share your experience and knowledge with those who want to know. You always made time for me, and made sure to include me and send different opportunities my way. I remember you taking me out to eat before I moved to New York, and I am so grateful for you and everything that you have done and continue to do for me. I hope to one day repay you for all your kindness!! <3 <3 <3
