Appreciation with a Loaf of Bread Project

When I received the bread (it is so delicious!) my family and I literally broke bread together... I honestly can't think of the last time we had all been in one room together although we live together we hardly see each other. So for that alone I was thankful that we took the time to pause for a bit.
We thought about how this pandemic has shaped all of our lives and our daily routines... things we took for granted and things we never realized about ourselves.
As a healthcare worker I see a lot of things that most people should never have to go through or experience as a general rule of thumb but nothing had prepared myself or my co-workers for Covid.
I thought back on the times as we started working in the trenches of this pandemic together we were literally just that, together. There was no more bickering or little squabbles as usual in our day to day. Instead we became each others strength and shoulder to cry on. And just as much as I was thankful to be there and support my co-workers I knew that they were also there for me. I've had time to think and process just how much Jesus has carried me through and has been my comforter and my strength because through all of this myself, my co-workers, our patients... the only true comforter is our heavenly Father and whether they were a believer or not I prayed that God would comfort them, their families and bring them peace because He is the only one I know who can.
I also said a prayer of thanks for the people that God has placed in my life and for all they teach me. I also thought about all of the precious people in my life that I have mourned in loss from this pandemic and gave thanks that I was able to meet such amazing individuals and reflected on all of our special memories that I've hid in my heart. Thank you for gifting me with this bread and letting me have a time to reflect! ❤
